Occasion of Revelation (Sahih — Abu Dawud & Nasai):
Ibn Abbas narrated: An Ansari woman who lost children would vow to raise the next child as a Jew if he survived. So some Ansari families had Jewish children by vow. When Banu Al-Nadir was exiled, some Ansari men wanted to either send their Jewish children with them or force them to accept Islam. So was revealed:
"There is no compulsion in religion."
