The Hijab Verse — The Prophet's Marriage and the Guest Incident

وَإِذَا سَأَلۡتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَٰعٗا فَسۡـَٔلُوهُنَّ مِن وَرَآءِ حِجَابٖ

Occasion of Revelation (Sahih — Bukhari):
Anas ibn Malik narrated: The Prophet ﷺ hosted a wedding feast for Zaynab bint Jahsh. After the guests ate, some stayed and kept talking. The Prophet was ready to leave but they did not rise. So the hijab verses were revealed, and a screen was drawn.
