حُرِّمَتۡ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡمَيۡتَةُ

Verse: "Forbidden to you are carrion, blood, swine flesh... the strangled, the beaten, the fallen, the gored." (5:3)
The ten prohibitions: Carrion, flowing blood, swine flesh, dedicated to other than Allah, strangled, beaten, fallen, gored, killed by wild animals, slaughtered on stone altars.
Important exception: "Except what you have properly slaughtered" — if proper slaughter reaches any of these while it still has stable life — it becomes lawful.
