Hadith: "Whoever recites the Quran, learns it, and acts by it — his parents will be crowned on Judgment Day with a crown of light more beautiful than the sun if it were in your homes." (Abu Dawud, Al-Hakim — Sahih)

Memorizing, reciting, and acting upon the Quran is not just a reward for the doer — it also honors his parents. Among the greatest forms of far-reaching good deeds.
Practical motivation:
When your motivation weakens — think of your parents. You cannot give them more than what the Quran gives them.
