Al-Baqarah ends: "...wa anta mawlaana fansurna ala al-qawm al-kafireen" (2:286) and Al-Imran starts: "Alif-Lam-Meem" — the same disconnected letter opening. Error: transitioning from Al-Imran and mistakenly jumping to Al-Baqarah thinking they are the same.
Mastery method:
- Memorize the last three verses of each surah + the first three of the next as one unit.
- Practice the transition alone: end the surah then immediately start the next without looking.
- Mark in the Mushaf the transition points where you make mistakes.
