Reviewing Memorization Through Prayer — Using Prayer for Review

hifz Level: basic review hfz-047
وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكۡرِيٓ
— طه 14
Reciting memorized verses in prayer:
Reciting verses you know may help you revisit them during worship, while attentiveness and the validity of prayer come before a study plan. No particular prayer or rak'ah must be assigned a passage, and this card does not establish Fajr as scientifically best for everyone.

Practical suggestion: Review a passage outside prayer first, then recite from memory where appropriate under guidance from a trusted teacher. If testing your memory distracts you from prayer, review at a separate time.

This is a personal study suggestion, not a religious ruling or a guarantee of retention.
Source: Quran 20:14; a personal study suggestion, with prayer rulings to be checked with a trusted teacher
Question: How can you balance reciting memorized verses with attentiveness in prayer?
Answer: Review outside prayer first, recite from memory where appropriate with guidance from a trusted teacher, and review separately if it distracts you from prayer.
