Musa in Midian — From Fleeing to Prophethood

Verse: "He watered for them, then retreated to shade, saying: 'My Lord, I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.'" (28:24)

The scene: Musa fleeing Egypt after killing the Copt, arriving in Midian alone and hungry. He saw two women waiting for the shepherds to finish — so he watered their flock without being asked, then sat in shade.

The most beautiful prayer in a moment of poverty:
"My Lord, I am in need of whatever good You send down to me." He did not specify "send me food" — he declared his poverty to Allah without direct specification. Adab of dua: show need and beautify the request.

The immediate divine response:
Before he completed his rest, one of the women came walking shyly, with an invitation from her father. From one prayer came food, shelter, marriage, and ten years of stability.

Lesson: Be generous in helping others even when you are in greatest need — that is the door through which mercy enters.
