Quranic context: An-Naml 20-28
Context: Solomon inspected the birds and did not find the hoopoe. He said: "I will punish him severely or slaughter him unless he brings me a clear authority." The hoopoe returned with news of the Queen of Sheba who prostrated to the sun. Solomon said: "We shall see whether you spoke the truth or were among the liars" — not rushing to judgment.
