يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ ٱلۡفُقَرَآءُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ
— فاطر 15
Verse: "O people, you are the ones in need of Allah — and Allah is the Free of Need, the Praiseworthy." (35:15)
"The needy ones" (al-fuqara'): A nominal sentence declaring permanent reality — humans are needy by nature, not due to circumstance.
Lesson: Need for Allah is not weakness — it is the original correct relationship. Arrogance before Allah is an appropriation of a quality that doesn't belong to humans.

Question: Why does the Quran describe the human as permanently "in need of Allah" not just situationally?
Answer: Because need for Allah is an intrinsic nature — humans need air, provision, and existence every moment. Self-sufficiency from Allah is an illusion, not reality.
