أَيۡنَمَا تَكُونُواْ يُدۡرِككُّمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ وَلَوۡ كُنتُمۡ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ
— النساء 78
Verse: "Wherever you may be, death will overtake you — even if you are in fortified towers." (4:78)
"Fortified towers": The highest protective structures humans build — palaces, fortresses, castles. Yet death penetrates them. No technology, guard, or wealth stops the appointed moment of death.
Lesson: Fear of death doesn't delay it — courage in the cause of truth doesn't hasten it. The appointed time is in Allah's hand alone.

Question: What is the practical lesson for one who avoids duty out of fear of death?
Answer: Death reaches him even in his home — avoiding duty doesn't lengthen his life or delay his appointed time. And courage in the cause of truth doesn't hasten it.
