نَجَّيۡنَا هُودٗا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةٍ مِّنَّا
— هود 58
Verse: "When Our command came We saved Hud and those who believed with him — by a mercy from Us." (11:58) — Salvation "by a mercy from Us" — not a reward for perfection but Allah's mercy. The believing survivors weren't infallible — they were faithful and steadfast. Lesson: faith is not a guarantee of permanent comfort but a guarantee of ultimate salvation.

Question: Why does the Quran say "by mercy from Us" not "by their right"?
Answer: Because salvation is Allah's grace not earned entitlement. The believer doesn't demand Paradise as a right but asks for it as mercy from His Lord.
