لَوۡ أَنزَلۡنَا هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيۡتَهُۥ خَٰشِعٗا
— الحشر 21
Verse: "Had We sent down this Quran upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled, split apart from the fear of Allah." (59:21) — The mountain symbolizes solidity and steadfastness — yet if the Quran were sent upon it, it would crack with fear. What then of the human who is softer and weaker? A Muslim recites Quranic verses without being moved — while the mountain would have cracked. Lesson: when you don't weep at the Quran — ask yourself: is my heart harder than a mountain?
