tadabbur Level: basic ibada-dhikr td-262
ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارٗا
— نوح 10
Verse: "I said: Ask forgiveness of your Lord — He is Forgiving. He will send rain upon you in abundance." (71:10-11) — Nuh ﷺ explains the connection between seeking forgiveness and heavenly blessings. "Ghaffar" — intensive form: greatly Forgiving for those who greatly seek forgiveness. He linked forgiveness to three things: rain, children, gardens and rivers. A prophetic indication that istighfar is not just words — it is a practical solution to material crises. Al-Hasan al-Basri told everyone who complained about drought, few children, or narrow livelihood: "Seek forgiveness" — citing these verses. Lesson: when doors of provision and progeny close — open the door of istighfar.
