عَزِيزٌ عَلَيۡهِ مَا عَنِتُّمۡ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيۡكُم
— التوبة 128
Verse: "There has come to you a Messenger from among yourselves — grievous to him is your suffering, eager for you — to the believers kind and merciful." (9:128) — The second-to-last verse of At-Tawbah. Four attributes of the Prophet ﷺ: "from among you" — he understands your suffering; "grievous is your suffering to him" — your pain pains him; "eager for you" — wanting your guidance; "kind and merciful" — two of Allah's own attributes given to His Prophet. Lesson: whoever wants to know the Prophet's love for his nation — let them read this verse.
