Brotherhood in Islam — Rights and Duties
إِنَّمَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ إِخۡوَةٌ فَأَصۡلِحُواْ بَيۡنَ أَخَوَيۡكُمۡ
— الحجرات الآية 10
Verse: "The believers are but brothers." (49:10)
Six rights of brotherhood in hadith: "When you meet, greet him; when he invites you, accept; when he seeks your advice, advise him; when he sneezes and praises Allah, respond; when he is sick, visit him; when he dies, follow his funeral." (Muslim 2162)
Prohibitions between Muslims: "Every Muslim's blood, wealth, and honor is sacred to another Muslim." "He must not wrong him, desert him, lie to him, or belittle him."
