Similar Verses — Handling the Greatest Challenge

رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلۡ مِنَّآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
— البقرة الآية 127
Definition: Verses nearly identical between two or more surahs with minor differences in a word or letter.

Famous examples: "Your Lord is not heedless of what you/they do" (Naml/An'am); "Our Lord accept from us / Our Lord help us" (Al-Baqarah).

Strategies: (1) Identify similar verses before memorizing a surah. (2) Create a mnemonic key — link the difference to the surah's context. (3) Use understanding not just rote — why did the word differ? (4) Test with a sheikh specifying the similar verses precisely.
