Etiquette of the Quran's Bearer — Dignity and Protection

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذِكۡرٌ لَّكَ وَلِقَوۡمِكَ
— الزخرف الآية 44
Narration: "It is not fitting for one who carries the Quran to engage in idle talk or idle play." — From the Salaf.

Etiquette of Quran bearers: Much silence and useful speech; night prayer even two rak'ahs; scrupulousness from prohibitions — sins extinguish the Quran's light; spreading through teaching others; continuing — not having Allah know you through His Quran then abandoning it.

The Quran intercedes: "Recite the Quran — it will come on Judgment Day as an intercessor for its companions." (Muslim)
