The Hereafter
Surah: Al-Infitar (13)
Indeed the Righteous Are in Bliss and the Wicked Are in Hellfire
إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ وَإِنَّ ٱلۡفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ
— الانفطار الآية 13
Verse: "Indeed the righteous are in bliss and the wicked are in hellfire." (82:13-14)
The sharp contrast: Two sentences contain every destiny — righteous in bliss, wicked in hellfire. No absolute middle ground, no neutrality in the final result.
"Abrâr" (righteous): Plural of "barr" — one whose goodness is expansive, covering worship, ethics, and dealings. Not merely one who doesn't harm but who actively does good.
Lesson: Righteousness is a path not a moment; wickedness is a trajectory not an incident. Every day you walk one of the two paths.
