Basic Trust in Allah Surah: Ibrahim (7)

If You Are Grateful I Will Surely Increase You — The Law of Increase

لَئِن شَكَرۡتُمۡ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمۡ
— إبراهيم الآية 7
Verse: "If you are grateful I will surely increase you — and if you are ungrateful, My punishment is severe." (14:7)

An oath from Allah: "La-azidannakum" — the lam + nun of emphasis. Allah swore on increasing the grateful. Not an ordinary promise but a divine oath.

Increase is not always in money: Increase may come in faith, health, peace, blessing in time, knowledge, righteous children — every blessing increases with the gratitude of its owner.

Lesson: Gratitude is the key to more — ingratitude not only loses the blessing but enters its owner into the domain of warning.
