Surah: Al-Qamar (17)
We Have Made the Quran Easy for Remembrance — Is There Anyone Who Will Remember?
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ
— القمر الآية 17
Verse: "We have made the Quran easy for remembrance — is there anyone who will remember?" (54:17) — Repeated four times in Surah Al-Qamar — repetition indicating emphasis, reproach, and encouragement simultaneously. "We made it easy" — Allah makes the Quran easy to memorize, understand, and reflect upon. It is the most memorized book in human history. Its meaning is easy — even an illiterate understands it when translated. Its reflection is easy — its words contain deep meanings. "Is there anyone who will remember" — an inciting question. "Muddakir" from iddakara = deeply remembered. Allah did not say "is there a reader" but "is there one who truly remembers" — whose heart is awakened. Lesson: the Quran is the easiest book to memorize — and you haven't memorized a page?
