Surah: Al-Isra (44)
There Is Nothing That Does Not Glorify His Praise — The Entire Universe in Continuous Worship
Verse: "There is not a thing but glorifies His praise, but you do not understand their glorification. Indeed He is ever Forbearing, Forgiving." (17:44) — "There is not a thing" — absolute negation: nothing whatsoever. "But it glorifies" — everything glorifies. The rock glorifies. Water glorifies. Winds glorify. Galaxies glorify. "But you do not understand their glorification" — the important qualifier: our inability to understand does not negate the reality. The universe speaks a language our ears cannot perceive. "Forbearing, Forgiving" — closing the verse with Allah's mercy: even though the universe glorifies and we sometimes forget — Allah is Forbearing, not hastening punishment, Forgiving of our shortfall in glorification. Lesson: glorifying Allah is joining the choir of the universe — stone, tree, and sea precede you. You are not performing a bureaucratic obligation but joining an eternal procession.

"You do not understand their glorification" — does this mean the glorification is merely metaphorical?
