Intermediate States of the Heart Surah: Al-Kahf (28)

Do Not Obey One Whose Heart We Made Heedless and Who Follows His Desire

وَلَا تُطِعۡ مَنۡ أَغۡفَلۡنَا قَلۡبَهُۥ عَن ذِكۡرِنَا
— الكهف الآية 28
Verse: "Do not obey one whose heart We made heedless of Our remembrance, who follows his desire, and whose affair is excess." (18:28) — Logical sequence: heedless heart → following desire → loss of affairs. Each step leads to the next. Lesson: beware sitting with those who distract from Allah — their heedlessness may spread.
