Basic Trust in Allah Surah: Ali Imran (173)

Allah Is Sufficient for Us and What an Excellent Trustee — Ibrahim Said It in Fire and Muhammad at Uhud

حَسۡبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡوَكِيلُ
— آل عمران الآية 173
Verse: "Allah is sufficient for us and what an excellent Trustee." (3:173) — The companions said it when people told them "the people have gathered against you" after Uhud. Ibrahim said it when thrown into fire. Two words encapsulating complete certainty. "Hasbuna" = He suffices us. "What an excellent Trustee" — praising Allah as the best guardian. Whoever says it with conviction — their fear turns to security. Ibn Abbas: Ibrahim said it when thrown in fire and it became cool and peaceful for him. The Prophet and companions said it and returned with blessing from Allah. Lesson: these two words are a weapon for major crises — find their context in your life.
