Indeed Allah Is With the Patient — Revelation of Steadfastness in Crises

ٱسۡتَعِينُواْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
— البقرة 153
Verse: "O you who believe, seek help through patience and prayer — indeed Allah is with the patient." (2:153)
Occasion: Revealed after the Qiblah change command and the accompanying pressures from hypocrites and Jews on Muslims — steadfastness for believers in a moment of anxiety and doubt.
Patience and prayer together: Patience to restrain emotion and prayer to connect with Allah — combining them is a dual weapon in crises.
"Allah is with the patient": A special accompaniment for the patient — not the general encompassing presence but the companionship of victory and support.
