"The Believers Are Nothing but Brothers" — Making Peace Between Aws and Khazraj

إِنَّمَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ إِخۡوَةٌ فَأَصۡلِحُواْ
— الحجرات الآية 10
Verse: "The believers are nothing but brothers, so make peace between your two brothers." (49:10)

Occasion (Sahih): Bukhari narrated: a man from Aws and a man from Khazraj fought until both tribes took sides and took up weapons. The Prophet ﷺ came and made peace between them. The verse was then revealed.

Authenticity: Sahih (Bukhari)

Historical lesson: The Islamic brotherhood that united Aws and Khazraj after long enmity is one of Islam's greatest social miracles.
