"Had They Been Patient Until You Came Out" — Bedouins Calling the Prophet From Outside His Rooms

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِن وَرَآءِ ٱلۡحُجُرَٰتِ
— الحجرات الآية 4
Verse: "Those who call you from behind the rooms — most of them do not reason." (49:4)

Occasion (Sahih): Al-Tirmidhi and others narrated: A delegation from Banu Tamim came and called the Prophet ﷺ from behind his rooms: "O Muhammad, come out to us!" He was sleeping and they disturbed him. The verse was then revealed as a rebuke.

Authenticity: Sahih (Al-Tirmidhi)

Lesson: Etiquette with scholars, imams, and leaders begins with waiting for them and caring for their rest — not demanding immediate appearance.
