Umra — The Fifth Pillar and Its Continuing Virtue

وَأَتِمُّواْ ٱلۡحَجَّ وَٱلۡعُمۡرَةَ لِلَّهِ
— البقرة الآية 196
Verse: "And complete the Hajj and Umra for Allah." (2:196)

Ruling: Obligatory once in a lifetime (Shafi'i and Ahmad) or confirmed Sunnah (Maliki and Hanafi).

Umra acts: Ihram → Tawaf (7 circuits) → Sa'y between Safa and Marwa → Shaving or trimming hair.

Virtue in Ramadan: "Umra in Ramadan equals Hajj." (Bukhari & Muslim)

Lesson: Umra is connection to the Sacred House and renewal of the covenant with Allah — less costly than Hajj but with great weight.
