Writing Verses from Memory for Review
ٱقۡرَأۡ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ — ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِٱلۡقَلَمِ

What the studies actually tested:
Handwriting studies examined lecture note-taking, schedules and memory tasks. They did not test writing Quranic verses or establish a fixed number of repetitions for memorization. Writing from memory can be tried to spot mistakes without claiming guaranteed superiority over recitation.
Applying it to Quran memorization:
Writing is an optional review method; it does not replace accurate recitation, understanding and correction from a qualified teacher.

- Board or paper: Use what helps you focus, checking the correct script against the mushaf.
