Basic Madani Events Surah: Luqman (13)

Verse: "When Luqman said to his son while advising him: 'O my son, do not associate anything with Allah — indeed, shirk is a great wrong.'" (31:13)

A complete educational curriculum in six commandments:

1. "Do not associate" — monotheism is the foundation of everything
2. "We have enjoined on man [care for] his parents" — obligatory parental devotion
3. "If it is the weight of a mustard seed" — precise divine oversight
4. "Establish prayer" — pillar of worship
5. "Enjoin good and forbid evil" — social reform
6. "Do not walk proudly on earth" — humility

Lesson: Luqman's curriculum begins with monotheism and ends with ethics — because sound monotheism must yield sound ethics.
