Basic يوسف Surah: Yusuf (92)

Quranic context: After years of absence, Yusuf brothers confess their crime and submit to him as the Aziz of Egypt — and his response is a stunning surprise.

Context:

• When they could no longer deny what they had done, Yusuf said: "I am Yusuf, and this is my brother. Allah has certainly been gracious to us." (Yusuf 90)
• He attributed everything to Allah: patience and God-consciousness were the cause of his elevation
• Then came the golden words: "No blame will there be upon you today. Allah will forgive you; He is the most merciful of the merciful." (Yusuf 92)
• Scholars note the Prophet (peace be upon him) echoed this verse when he conquered Makkah and addressed its people similarly

Lesson:
Pardoning when one is able is not weakness — Yusuf had full power and could have taken revenge, but he chose to build the future on love rather than keeping wounds alive.
