Surah: Al-Qadr (3)
We Sent It Down on the Night of Decree — A Night Worth the Entire Human
لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٍ
— القدر الآية 3
Verse: "We sent it down on the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months." (97:1-3)
"Indeed We" (plural of majesty): Allah spoke of the Quran's descent with "We" — honoring the significance of this descent and dignifying the Quran.
"Better than a thousand months": 1000 months = 83 years and 4 months — more than a human lifespan. One night equals an entire lifetime in reward.
Lesson: Whoever catches Laylat Al-Qadr with faith and hoping for Allah's reward — it's as if he gained another entire lifetime. Negligence in it is an irreplaceable loss.
