Intermediate Ethics & Manners Surah: An-Nahl (125)

Call to Your Lord's Way With Wisdom and Good Instruction — The Complete Method of Calling

ٱدۡعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلۡحِكۡمَةِ وَٱلۡمَوۡعِظَةِ ٱلۡحَسَنَةِ
— النحل الآية 125
Verse: "Call to your Lord's way with wisdom, good instruction, and argue with them in the best manner." (16:125)

Three graduated tools: (1) Wisdom: for the thoughtful and rational — evidence and proof. (2) Good instruction: for the emotionally receptive — inspiring encouragement and warning. (3) Best argument: for opponents — calm dialogue without disparagement.

Lesson: Calling to Islam is an art and science — the right method for the right person at the right moment.
