Whoever Does an Atom's Weight of Good Will See It — The Scale of Small Deeds on Judgment Day
فَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيۡرٗا يَرَهُۥ
— الزلزلة الآية 7
Verse: "Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it — and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it." (99:7-8) — "Atom's weight" — the atom is the smallest thing, today a symbol of immense energy. The Quran says: even what is smaller than an atom of good and evil will be seen on Judgment Day. Nothing is lost. The surprise "will see it" not "will be recompensed" — seeing your deeds with your own eyes is stronger than being informed of judgment. The Prophet ﷺ: "Guard against the Fire even if with half a date" — following this verse: do not belittle any small good or small evil. Lesson: your smile at your brother, your kind word, your small charity — all recorded and will be seen.
