Writing Debt and Testimony — The Divine Documentation System

Verse: "When you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down." (2:282)

Longest verse in the Quran (2:282): Details a complete system for deferred financial transactions: writing, a just scribe, dictation by the debtor, two witnesses, and collateral when no scribe is available.

Economic wisdom: Documentation reduces disputes, protects both parties' rights, and establishes social trust.
