Surah: Al-Anam (141)
Zakat on Crops and Fruits — Giving the Right on Harvest Day
وَءَاتُواْ حَقَّهُۥ يَوۡمَ حَصَادِهِۦ
— الأنعام الآية 141
Verse: "And give its due on the day of its harvest." (6:141)
Ruling: Zakat on crops and fruits is obligatory without requiring the full year — "on the day of harvest" means immediately upon collection.
Rate: 10% for rain-irrigated crops; 5% for artificially irrigated crops requiring effort and expense.
Nisab: Five wasqs — approximately 653 kg.
