Ibn Amir Al-Shami — Biography and His Chain to Uthman ibn Affan
Biography:
Abdullah ibn Amir Al-Yahsubi Al-Shami (d. 118H) — Imam of reading in the Levant (Syria today). Born during the Prophet's ﷺ lifetime (8H). Imam of the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus and its judge. He met several Companions.
Distinguished chain to Uthman:
Learned from Al-Mughira ibn Abi Shihab Al-Makhzumi, who took directly from Uthman ibn Affan — one of the highest chains to the Companions. Also said to have taken from Abu Al-Darda' the Companion.
Principal narrators:
